Training Outline

Working safely in a treatment plant is essential for protecting operators, coworkers, and the public. This course teaches water and wastewater operators how to recognize common plant hazards and apply critical safety procedures. Topics include OSHA workplace safety requirements, personal protective equipment (PPE), chemical and chlorine safety, confined space precautions, safe work practices, and emergency response. Operators will also learn how to read Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and respond effectively to incidents requiring first aid or emergency action.
